The limited edition comic celebrates the latest collaboration of Stella McCartney Kids with Beano, bringing to life the beloved Beano characters Dennis and Minnie the Minx.
The AW18 Stella McCartney kid’s collection, features a total of 40 specially designed pieces, introducing classic Beano and Dandy characters.
Both of the comics have a special place in Stella McCartney’s heart, as her father Sir Paul McCartney had a cameo feature in The Dandy’s final issue in 2012, after he said in 1963 it was his life’s ambitions to appear in the comic strip.
Fashion designer Stella McCartney, said: “Beano was a huge part of my childhood and the rebellious and fun nature featured in the comic inspired my designs. Following up on our collaboration for the women’s collection with Dandy last year, we were keen celebrate the next generation of Beano fans with a sustainable and playful range for kids who share the ‘Beano’ spirit of these iconic characters”.
The new comic features Dennis and Minnie the Minx having fun in Harrod’s during a school trip to London where they bump into Stella while learning about sustainability in fashion.
The comic will be distributed at Stella Kids Harrods and UK stores; and is printed on heavy stock, recycled paper that echos Stella’s commitment to sustainability.
