Beano Studios partnered with Whipsnade Zoo for a Beano-themed trail throughout Summer 2023, bringing conservation to life for families.
Comic Trail Storytelling
Twelve interactive activities featured iconic characters:
- Dennis’s Seed Sling Shots – Fire seed bombs to grow a wildlife garden
- Harsha’s Tent of Trumps – Venture through a tunnel of animal farts and learn about unusual diets
- Rubi’s Pledge Garden – Make a paper windmill with a conservation pledge
- Dangerous Dan’s Tidy-Up Mission – Play a recycling-themed ball game
All activities were paired with a special bespoke Beano comic story to take home.
Multi-Channel Promotion
Promoted via Whipsnade Zoo’s own channels (press, web, email, social, members magazine), paid media (OOH, digital display & paid social), and Beano channels (comic, newsletter & social).
Result
A fun, hands-on summer experience that entertained families while teaching key conservation messages.
