After the success of their Gen Alpha report last year, global content house Beano Studios has further strengthened its insight team with the appointment of former Pineapple Lounge UK MD Pete Maginn, it was announced today.

In this newly created Director of Insight role, Maginn will be Beano Studio’s commercial lead working with brands and agencies looking to understand and engage with kids, Teens and their families to drive their businesses. He will work with clients to create bespoke commercial solutions from Beano’s growing suite of insight and data products that deliver in-depth and actionable insights into Gen Alpha, Gen Z and Millennial parents for Beano’s clients.

Pete joins from The Pineapple Lounge where he has worked since 2015 as Head of Insight and most recently, Managing Director UK. With other 18 years’ experience in the insight industry, Pete has worked with clients including LEGO, Twitch, Netflix, Disney Channels and Unilever.

He has extensive experience of creating and using innovative approaches to garner the most authentic approaches for clients. He has led large-scale, multi-method research projects from end to end and worked with global brands to ensure their insights are used to their full potential, informing tactical and strategic business decisions and change.

Pete will work alongside Beano Studio’s current Director of Insight, Helenor Gilmour, who will continue her ground breaking work on Gen Alpha and Beano Trendspotters. Helenor will also continue to build Beano Studio’s insight capabilities and products as well as supporting the continued growth of the consumer audience. Pete will also report into Matt O’Mara, Chief Commercial Officer, who joined from Vice last year.
