Beanofy Unwrapped brings a playful take on the year, capturing everything from AI chaos to viral memes and mutant chickens through the eyes of kids.

On sale today, the collectable issue sees Donald Trump, Elon Musk and Keir Starmer blast off on a doomed space adventure, while Beano favourites Dennis, Minnie and the Bash Street Kids prove that mischief, imagination and Gen Alpha logic still beat billionaire egos and bad tech.

The front cover features an eclectic cast of 2025 pop culture icons, including Trump, K-Pop Demon Hunters, Alan Carr, the viral “Italian brainrot” trend and England rugby star Hannah Botterman – all immortalised in classic comic style by legendary Beano illustrator Nigel Parkinson.

Mike Stirling, Director of Mischief at Beano, said: “With Beanofy Unwrapped, kids get the final word on 2025. All the bad, sad or boring bits are banished, and 2025’s main characters are ‘Beanofied’ into the funniest versions of themselves. There are even some politicians to remind groan-ups that thinking like a kid can make everything funny. We’ve packed it with laughter, mischief and the kind of creativity only kids could bring, for families to enjoy together.”

Inside, Dennis the Menace accidentally activates experimental tech that unleashes holograms of the year’s biggest moments and personalities into Beanotown. Trump promptly declares himself the new owner and rebrands it “Trumptown”, recruiting Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and a miniature JD Vance dressed as a Labubu (“Vancey-Bubu”) to join his space mission.

Additional celeb stars featured in the comic include the Euros-winning Lionesses  Chloe Kelly and ex-Beano editor Leah Williamson, who battle it out in a series of extreme sports challenges alongside Cole Palmer, Hannah Hampton and darts sensation Luke Littler.

Elsewhere, a Battle of the Bands erupts between Oasis, Taylor Swift and Coldplay – this year’s biggest touring acts – before Jack Black is pelted with popcorn during a “mutant chicken racing” event inspired by the viral Minecraft movie that broke the internet this summer.

Other celebrity cameos include Alan Carr and Cat Burns from The Celebrity Traitors, Katy Perry in a Blue Origin spacesuit, and Wicked stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande wondering whether they’re “holding space” for anyone else on the moon.

When the billionaires finally take off – joined by British Prime Minister and self-declared Swiftie, Keir Starmer – the mission quickly descends into chaos. The Bash Street Kids have secretly hijacked the ship, swapping stolen air for Trump’s trumps and replacing the ship’s water with ‘British river water’, sending the mission into a comical mess.

With their tech malfunctioning and the ship out of control, the billionaires are forced to abandon ship as it heads to Mars, proving once again that kids always get the last laugh.

The comic ends with the Bash Street Kids saving the day and restoring order in Beanotown, reminding readers that real-world fun and mischief will always triumph over any dodgy AI update or a trip to space with billionaires.
